Sequential Navigation

[Week 2]:

This week's assignment is kind of hard. I need to do a lot of research for sequential navigation. Here are a few websites that have a list of creative navigation and menus. Inspiring and  helpful. Navigation is not necessary with words, it can be just images or icons to just explore and click.

Helpful and inspiring list of blogs about navigation/menus:
1st Web Design | Unusual Navigation Menu
Smashing Magazine | 50 Beautiful and User-Friendly Navigatioon Menus
Freelance Folder | 30 Examples of Big Bold and Beautiful Website Navigation Menus

Examples of nice sequential navigation:

1. Fun brochure/ pamphlet-like navigation: http://www.thibaud.be/

2. Nice slide out menu and interactive gallery: http://www.utah.travel/themes/20-adventure/
3. Fun informational bubble intro: http://www.markerseven.com/
4. Fun icons for navigation that slide out: http://www.taptaptap.com
What is sequencing navigation?
It's really a navigation where the user clicks to go to the next link in the website. It is something creative. The navigation leads to another page. Sequencing navigation should make the user who wants to explore through the website.

Meditating
Before starting off with this assignment, I did a little meditation. Just sitting there with my eyes closed. First of all, my mind is blank. When I start thinking through, I was taking one step at a time. This means, I was thinking of what to do first. I was going to research first and think of ideas or look around. Meditating was helpful because it helped me go through the process one step at a time (in order).

In the end, looking at a lot of inspiring examples, I thought about using images and photos. Instead of using text, it seems boring for sequential navigation. So, I am using images and Photoshop. To make it more of a  fun navigation, I thought about making rollover images and pop up mouseovers. I also included popup boxes for information rather than going to another a new page
