Usability Test Plan

Website: Ritual Coffee Roasters | http://ritualroasters.com
Purpose: To see if it is user-friendly website
User: Sister, student

The top primary navigation was mostly clicked first. Menu for coffee was the first page looked at. The navigation is convenient since it’s on the very top of the page. However, the font size might be a bit small. Second click were the content boxes on the center right – that’s where the content was. The huge image was right in the center while the content is on top of the image with a transparent box. The secondary navigation was clicked last. Seems like it didn’t stand out much and unnoticeable since it’s at the very bottom. Important navigations should be up on top of the page. Also, images and logo were clicked to see if it was clickable.

  1. Is the website easy to use?
Followed the navigation on top bar. Easy to use.

  2. Can you find the information that you were looking for?
Yes, found the coffee menu. Might need to reword some navigation for menu, about, and other things.

  3. Was navigation located at a place where it’s supposed to be?
Top bar primary navigation is fine. The very bottom secondary navigation is hard to tell which can be easily ignored. For example, shop or contact should be moved to the top navigation bar.

  4. How is the website design overall?
Very nice. Creative logo. Large images in the center. Nice transparency on content boxes. Nice lightbox on images.
